In Home End of Life Care

The life of one's pet is never long enough. We know the journey will eventually end in saying goodbye.

Euthanasia is the hardest yet the most loving decision you will ever have to make for your pet. We will provide the compassionate support you need through every step of the journey.

Quality of Life

Evaluating your pet's quality of life and making the decision to say goodbye to your beloved family member are extremely difficult decisions.  We offer in home quality of life consultations when you need to talk with an end of life professional who can take the time to focus on you and your pet's unique situation.  We will focus on your pet's happiness and comfort, considering factors like mobility, pain, and interaction. We can help you understand what signs to watch for to determine if your beloved pet is still enjoying life or suffering, discuss planning for any potential emergencies, and guide you through a quality of life scale to give you a more objective understanding of your pet’s well-being.

What to Expect

For those in Albuquerque and the surrounding areas, when you feel it is time to schedule a euthanasia appointment, you can schedule a visit online here or give us a call at (505) 933-0393. We will schedule a 1 hour window of time during which our doctor will arrive. On the day of your appointment, Dr. Amy will give you a call to let you know her arrival time. During your visit, an injection of a sedative will be given to your pet to relieve any pain and anxiety they are feeling, and allow them to sink into a deep and comfortable sleep. Once your pet is sleeping comfortably, they will be given another injection that will help them to pass peacefully and gently.
If you choose for us to arrange for your pet’s aftercare, the doctor will transport your beloved pet to our partner, Best Friends Pet Cremation, where they will respectfully cremate your pet based on your wishes.

Hours: Monday-Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Saturday: 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM
